This course is not currently scheduled in the 2021-22 programme but we are recording interest in the course and will seek to provide it if the is sufficient interest and budget.
The training is aimed at colleagues in Brighter Futures for Children Youth Services.
An interactive online webinar enabling teaching professionals to deal with issues relating to street gangs and criminal exploitation.
Delegates will take part in a thought provoking discussion as well as having the opportunity to raise their own concerns and have these addressed.
The training aims to:
- Identify the evolution of countylines, youth violence and gangs in the United Kingdom.
- Recognise indicators and reasons young people get involved with gangs or countylines.
- Explore the role of young women including grooming and sexual exploitation.
- Examine the key aspects of gangs such as structure, and the impact of social media.
- Identify available support and resources for young people in your area.
