MRC webinar - What Do We Mean By Trauma Informed Supervision?

Description

Many local authorities have adopted trauma informed
practice as an important component of their practice
models. An understanding of trauma is increasingly
recognised as being central to understanding the needs of
children young people and their families. Many authors associated
with such approaches stress the need for a whole
systems approach, and for organisations as a whole to
be trauma informed. This includes recognising the impact
trauma can have on staff, but also how staff need to be
supported in understanding and managing the impact of
trauma on the families they work with. This webinar looks
at the concept of trauma supervision, and considers how
helpful it is for practitioners and their practice.
