Dr. Chris Papadopoulos is a leading neurodivergent researcher, author, and advocate in the field of autism and neurodiversity who brings a unique blend of academic rigour and real-world advocacy to his work. He is the author of ‘Voices of Neurodiversity- An Inclusive Encyclopaedia’. Dr. Papadopoulos is also a Principal Lecturer in Public Health and Director of Health Research at the University of Bedfordshire.

Virginia “Ginny” Grant is a neurodivergent author, editor, and advocate living in Sydney, Australia. Identified as Autistic at 39, she shares her experiences through writing, speaking, and podcasting. Ginny is passionate about books, animals, travel, and foreign languages, and uses her voice to promote understanding and acceptance of neurodiversity.

Joan Pons Laplana is an autistic nurse who is on a mission to turn the healthcare system upside down and empower frontline and patients to lead together. In addition to lobbying national organisations for change, Joan sits at the helm of several national campaigns for which he won the 2018 BJN Nurse of the Year Award. In this webinar, Dr Papadopoulos will introduce ‘Voices of Neurodiversity - An Inclusive Encyclopaedia,’ a groundbreaking resource that combines academic knowledge with real-life experiences of neurodivergent individuals. Our speakers will :

• give an overview of the encyclopaedia’s structure and content, highlighting its unique approach to presenting 350 neurodiversity-related terms and concepts.

• discuss key themes emerging from the 50 real-life stories contributed by neurodivergent individuals across the world.

• explorate how this resource can enhance understanding and practice among health and social care professionals when working with neurodivergent individuals.

• include a live dialogue with two of the other neurodivergent contributors to the book, sharing their perspectives on the importance of inclusive representation in discussions about neurodiversity.
