Terms and Conditions of Booking Brighter Futures for Children Training

This website is intended for BFfC staff to review and book learning events. Our partners in other organisations are welcome to join us on some of our events but please check before booking by emailing learning@brighterfuturesforchildren.org and we will in most cases need to charge for attendance

Agreement to book You must have your Line Manager's authority to attend BEFORE booking your place on training courses and activities.

Transferring to a later course If it is more that 7 days before the course you can transfer to a later course via your ARLO account.

If less than 7 days before the course we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee if we are unable to fill your place on the course.

Substitutions Substitutions are welcome and where a delegate can no longer attend at short notice, a substitute will avoid a late cancellation charge. Please email learning@brighterfuturesforchildren.org to make a substitution if less than 7 days before the course.

Cancellation 7 days or MORE before the course date

Please cancel online via your ARLO account

Cancellation LESS than 7 days before the course date:

Via email to the Learning & Workforce Development Team learning@brighterfuturesforchildren.org by the delegate or their manager.

No telephone cancellations will be accepted.

The full cost of the training course per person will be incurred unless there are exceptional circumstances.

To request waiver of the charge the line manager of the delegate must email learning@brighterfuturesforchildren.org to outline the circumstances.

Consideration will be given to waiver the charges in exceptional circumstances such as:

  • there is a personal or family emergency
  • compassionate leave has been given
  • staff have reported sick using absence reporting policies and procedures.

Charges will be made where there is non-attendance due to:

  • other work pressures
  • annual leave bookings
  • course booked in error
  • applicant forgot or went to wrong location.

Requests to waiver charges will be considered carefully but are at the discretion of the Learning & Workforce Development Team.
