MRC-Empathic Leadership In Social Work

Dr Amy Lynch is an Assistant Professor at Warwick Business School, University of Warwick. For the last ten years, her research has been focused on relational practice in children’s social care. This area of interest began in 2015 with the evaluation of Family Safeguarding within the Department of Education Children’s Social Care Innovation Programme.

In 2024, she completed her PhD focused on empathy in the English child protection system. Her current study is focused on developing understanding of empathic leadership across health and social care contexts.
