Introduction to Child Exploitation
This training is delivered by Thames Valley Violence Prevention Partnership.
Description
The aims of the training session are to:
- Raise awareness and identify the signs of exploitation in relation to young people
- Understand your role in reporting and sharing information
- Explore available resources to aid communication with young people.
The training covers
- different types of child exploitation (including county line, CSE, online harm)
- gangs and use of language
- spotting the signs of exploitation
- looks at who are the victims/ who are the offenders
- touches on knife crime and the law
- The importance of sharing information – includes the partnership intelligence submission
- Communicating with young people – Stay True To You
- What to do if you have a safeguarding concern.
- Details support for young people (this is made relevant to the area where the training is taking place and you may be able to assist with this).
